Unit of Public Relations
Unit Profile
Serves to present and introduce the role of deanship, its academic and educational message by conveying a true and veritable image of the activities of the deanship to the society, through adopting scientific methods and techniques. It provides approaches to the society to familiarize itself with the various activities provided by the deanship. The unit of public relation employs the tools of the media and communication through providing such tools with all facts with respect to the various events and activities provided by the deanship.
Objectives
To implement all information assignments of the deanship in the service of the society and continuous education. To carry out the various activities in coordination with related entities, in order to reflect its role and to convey respective objectives, in order to efficiently explain respective programs and activities within and outside the university through the employment of the best and most efficient media.
Services
Comprehensive monitoring of all matters related to the tasks and marketing activities of the deanship of social service and continuous education.
To ensure the availability of all bulletins, publications and leaflets of the deanship through follow up with related entities.
Establishment of the necessary marketing files that contain all information of the deanship.
Follow up of the most important events and activities; schedule the same in coordination with the bureau of public relations at the deanship.
Coordination with all divisions within the deanship in designing brochures, leaflets and the various publications in order to produce a distinct and common character.
Follow up and coordination with the officials of information in collecting information and data required for the issuance of the internal periodicals for the services, programs and activities of the deanship, as well as to seek marketing of the same.
Continued communication and contact with all internal and external entities for marketing all activities, services and programs of the deanship.
Undertaking all office work of the marketing unit, such as sending Faxes and e-mails, responding to telephone calls, editing of letters, arrangement and organization of the different files and transactions.
Entering and updating of information, telephone numbers of related entities in the database of the unit for future reference.
Preparation of reports by the end of each month, including problems, comments, remarks as well as the most significant recommendations and suggestions that may assist in supporting and activating the role of the unit and the deanship as a whole.
Readiness to stay late for long work hours, if required.
Activities
Participation in the academic orientation program for new students.
Participation in the accommodation program for the students of the preparatory year.
Supervising the organization of lectures on social responsibility.
Organization and establishment of the activities of the deanship.
